Step #2 at Rolesville Community Church is growing. It should be the goal of every
follower of Jesus Christ to grow in
our relationship with Him. We want to help you grow
spiritually. | |
Once we commit to Sunday worship, connecting with God, with one another,
and with the local church, then we should want to take steps designed to grow
spiritually. At Rolesville Community Church we believe this happens best in the context of a
small group. We call them Connect Groups. They are small groups that meet in area
homes. The purpose of the Connect Group is to facilitate spiritual maturity and
Biblical Community. The focus in Connect Groups is on fellowship, Bible Study,
and prayer. Connect Groups meet on different nights and at different locations.
The Connect Group covenant
consists of six commitments:
Care - Group
members pastoral needs are met in the small group with the group leader
acting as their pastor.
Outreach - Every
group
practices the "Principle of the Empty Chair", inviting
the non-churched to attend.
Niche - The small
group is a great place for people to find their niche. Every group is
expected to be involved in a ministry in the church and a mission in the
world
Nurturing - Group
members are encouraged to pray for one another and hold one another
accountable.
Education - While the
topics vary, there is always a commitment to in-depth Bible study.
Celebration
- Time is set aside at every group meeting to celebrate God through
worship,
singing and praying.
Transparency - Group
members are encouraged to be open and transparent about what’s going on
in
their lives
